Why are the packaging and product nameplate markings changing?

  • Schneider Electric is introducing a new graphic identity to position ourselves in the global marketplace as a solutions provider.  The new packaging and product nameplate markings will strengthen the alignment of Merlin Gerin, Power Measurement and Telemecanique brand names to the visual identity of Schneider Electric.

How will this impact my business?

    • Product dimensions, design and functionality will not change.
    • Dimensions, lot sizes, weight, and UPC codes and catalogue numbers will remain the same.

What does the new packaging look like?

    • The new packaging prominently displays Schneider Electric’s logo and product name, printed in green on a white background.

What does the new nameplate marking on Merlin Gerin products look like?

    • The front of the product carries the Schneider Electric logo.
    • The side of the product carries the Merlin Gerin logo whenever there is enough space to allow us to do so (all Merlin Gerin products except Multi9).
    • The product range name (e.g. Multi9) will be printed on the label.

What does the new nameplate marking on Power Measurement products look like?

    • The front of the product carries the Schneider Electric logo.

What does the new nameplate marking on Telemecanique products look like?

    • The front of the product carries the Schneider Electric logo.
    • The side of the product carries the Telemecanique logo whenever there is enough space to allow us to do so.
    • The product range name (e.g. TeSys) will be printed on the label.

Will this affect product size, design or functionality? 

    • No.

When did the packaging start to change?

      • The newly designed packaging started to be phased in as of July, 2008. For detailed timelines, please contact your Schneider Electric representative, agent or authorized distributor.

When will the product nameplate markings change?

  • Power Measurement products started to change over to the new nameplate markings in January, 2009.
  • You will start to see new Merlin Gerin and Telemecanique nameplate markings in the second quarter of 2009.

Will all the packaging change at the same time?

    • No. Various manufacturing locations started to phase in the new packaging in July, 2008. For detailed timelines, please contact your Schneider Electric representative, agent or authorized distributor.

Will all the nameplate markings of these products all change at the same time?

  • No.
  • Merlin Gerin and Telemecanique products will be phased in starting in the second quarter of 2009.  For detailed timelines, please contact your Schneider Electric representative or authorized distributor.

 

Does this change affect Federal Pioneer or Square D product packaging or nameplate markings?

    • No.
